Library Organizer
Catalogue, sort and shelve a home library, on the Mac and the iPhone.
What it does
- Catalogue your books by scanning their barcodes. With your permission, the title and author are looked up from the book's ISBN.
- Decide what to keep: go through each box of books and mark it keep, donate or throw out, with its subject.
- Measure your bookcases, guided step by step, with drawings.
- Plan the shelves: the app proposes where every book goes, by subject and author, sized to fit each shelf, and tells you which shelves to move first.
- Shelve box by box: sort a box into a pile for each shelf, see each pile's place drawn on its bookcase, and tick it off.
- Find any book later: where it is, or who you lent it to.
On the Mac and the iPhone, one library
On the Mac
The full workshop: the list of books, subjects, bookcases, the plan and the shelving.
On the iPhone
Scan books where they are, look up whether you already have one, edit details, measure bookcases, and shelve with the plan in your hand.
Both use the same library file, kept in your own iCloud Drive. There is no account to create and nothing is kept on our servers: see the privacy policy.
